Guided by compassion and presence, I help individuals and families navigate life’s final chapter with dignity and care.

I’m Julia, and I am an end-of-life doula and the founder of Estuary End-of-Life Care, where I support individuals and their loved ones in approaching death with presence, clarity, and connection.

My path to this work is both personal and professional. I experienced the death of my mother at a young age and have since accompanied several loved ones through their final days. These experiences inform my belief that dying is not only a medical event, but a deeply relational and human passage.

Professionally, I bring a background in community social work, mediation, and facilitation. I have extensive experience working in community-based and senior living settings, supporting individuals and families as they navigate complex systems, difficult decisions, and major life transitions. My work centers collaborative dialogue, values-based decision-making, and strengthening the relationships that sustain us.

As a death doula, I provide non-medical, holistic support including advance care planning, facilitated family conversations, bedside presence, and guidance for loved ones. I believe that when we face death together—openly and courageously—we create the possibility for greater peace, dignity, and belonging at the end of life.

I completed my end-of-life doula training through renowned death doula Alua Arthur’s training program, Going with Grace, and am a co-leader of Living While Mortal, where I guide conversations on end-of-life planning and making sense of life and death. I hold a Master of Social Work from the Boston College School of Social Work.
